When Old School meets New School! My online doctor’s visit #MOMSLOVEAMWELL

Motherhood can sure take a toll on you if you’re not caring for yourself. In the midst of running a home, raising our kids, and trying to balance our work, we tend to lose sight on the most important thing about being a healthy Mom and that is taking care of ourselves. Mentally and Physically.

I wish I would have taken my own advice two weeks ago when out of nowhere I had very little energy and felt easily weak and fatigue. So, I decided to try a 6 day cleanse that would rid my body of toxins and make me feel energized.

Well,  on day 4 of my cleanse, nature had its own way of telling my body to stop but being as stubborn as I am I needed professional advice. I just spent a ton of money buying this cleanse and I was afraid to stop midway through. Abdominal pains or not! when the pain didn’t go away, I started to worry, but it was still too early before my doctor’s office was open and I didn’t want to start self-diagnosing myself or visiting social forums for medical advice. I needed to speak to a doctor quickly.

Why can’t we go back into time where doctors made house calls? Well, thank goodness for Amwell we can still get our house calls the modern way! like on your device, smartphone, tablet or computer! this is literally taking your health into your own hands. With Amwell, you can see a doctor immediately from the comfort of your own home.

What I LOVED about Amwell was how affordable my doctors visit was. Compared to my co-pays with my primary physician, $49 dollars was very budget friendly. Not only did I save time but I saved money too. Not to mention that I was able to see a doctor in my sweat pants and hoodie from the comfort and convenience of my home. That means no driving around in circles looking for parking. Phewf!

Yes … that’s me in my Pj’s!

  1. I love the idea of being able to go over to the computer for a doctor’s appointment instead of going into an actual office – who wants to leave the house when they are sick?!
