Getting Crafty with Crayola Thread Wrapper

 photo IMG_20151216_191542_zpsicogejho.jpg

With the holidays in full swing, my house has always been the holiday headquarters. One of the many perks of being a Mom blogger is that I’m able to show my children some of the hottest toys out there. So when it comes to entertaining the kids, I’m the family’s information center.

With crafty little girls in my home, it was a no-brainer that the Crayola Thread Wrapper would be a hit. It was easy to assemble and the girls were threading everything from pens, pencils, and even their hair!

And it doesn’t stop there. You can wrap headphones, necklaces, sunglasses and even re-purpose, and customize your favorite accessories. Any object up to 1.15 inch in diameter can be wrapped!

The Thread Wrapper requires three AA batteries and is designed for ages eight and up.

Contents includes:

  • 1 Motorized Threading Unit
  • 1 Re-threading attachment
  • 6 Crayola Color Spools of Thread
  • 2 Empty Spools
  • 1 Fineline Fabric Marker

Features:

  • Wrap anything imaginable!
  • Create custom color threads!

Tip:

My kids found it easier to apply glue onto their pencils before threading so it had more of a hold, but you can also apply glue afterward too and while I don’t recommend threading a lock of hair, my kids did love showing it off at school.

Color and Decorate Your Threaded Creations

You can use the included fabric marker to decorate your thread wrap creations. Design bracelets, anklets, and necklaces by wrapping thread around elastic cords. Then, add designs and patterns, or write a special note on your customized accessory with the included red fabric marker. A special attachment on the Thread Wrapper even lets you use any Crayola fine-line fabric marker (sold separately) to add vibrant, custom hues to light-colored thread.
