My Favorite All Natural Remedies For Dry Winter Skin!

When winter is wreaking havoc on your skin, head straight to the kitchen and whip up some money saving remedies for the entire family! Here are a few of my favorite DIY home remedies that are tested and approved by my 3 little city girls!

Honey & Olive Oil Face and Neck Mask:

Try mixing one heaping tablespoon of honey, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon into a small ziplock bag. Mix it around until perfectly blended. Leave it on your face and neck for about 30 minutes and wipe off with a warm wash towel!

Coconut Oil and Olive Oil Face Mask:

Mix a tablespoon of olive oil with a tablespoon of organic coconut oil. I prefer to use and store my mixture in a sandwich bag in case I make too much, I can store the rest for the following day.

Apply a thin layer on to your freshly washed face and neck evenly before bed and leave it on until the morning. Simply wash it off in a warm shower or use a warm wash towel to wipe any excess oil off.

Dry Feet and Cracked Heels:

Apple cider vinegar and Listerine can work magic! Soak your feet in a solution of 1 cup of Listerine, 1 cup of apple cider vinegar, and 2 cups of warm water for 10 to 15 minutes and scrub off that dead skin!

Dry Scalp:

In a house full of girls everything winter comes in 3! We all suffer from dry scalp! Here’s one of my favorite home remedies!

(Before shower)

Mix 1/2 cup of water with 1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar.

(In shower)

massage your mixture onto your scalp and leave in for about 10 minutes. I recently started using an organic tea tree oil shampoo brand and see a difference!

What are your favorite old-school home remedies? Feel free to email me your favorites and I will share them online!
